Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has captured the coach of Nigeria’s senior national team, Salisu Yusuf, taking cash from undercover agents to allegedly influence player selection.

In the video, the coach, who was full of smiles, was seen receiving dollar notes which the undercover agents claim amounted to 1,000 dollars.
The cash according to the agents, was given to the coach who receives three million naira ($8,345) a month, to influence the selection of two players of the team, to participate in then African Nations Championship (CHAN).Per an agreement reached with the undercover agents, the coach was to receive 15 per cent of the players’ contract sum if he was able to get them to play in the championship.
Though the two players were eventually selected to play in the championship, which Nigeria reached the final stage, no further monies were requested or given to Yusuf, the BBC reports.
The coach has meanwhile denied any wrongdoing in receiving the said cash.
