AT LAST! THE FIRST PASSENGER TRAIN BERTHS FROM KOGI TO WARRI
With about 7 months to the end of this political dispensation and the general elections, the Buhari administration seems to be in a hurry to accomplish so much and to change the narrative about its government.
However, be that as it may, it all works for the good of Nigerians right? Few weeks ago, the story of the commissioning of the railway project filtered in, and now we bring to you, the arrival of the first Passenger Train to Delta State.
Yesterday July 28 2018, the passenger train took off from Itakpe, Kogi State, and traveled through a 320 km rail track that passes through Adogo, Ajaokuta, Agenebode, Uromi, Igbanke, Agbor, and landed finally in Warri. The train had the Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi, his aides and some media men as its first passengers, who enjoyed the ride.
In the next phase of the project, the rail track will extend to Lokoja and then Abuja, so that Nigerians will be able to enjoy train rides from Warri in Delta State to FCT (Abuja).
It is imperative to mention that the Rail transpiration project was started by IBB in 1987, and was later abandoned for so many years, until the Buhari administration completed it.
