OYO UNITES AS YINKA AYEFELE, AJIMOBI AND OTHER WARRING PARTIES EMBRACE AT OLUBANDAN’S 90th BIRTHDAY

All is well that ends well’, is an apt description of the truce between gospel singer and CEO of Fresh FM, Dr Yinka Ayefele and Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi. Following the reconciliation meeting which was brokered by APC governorship aspirant Mr Joseph Tegbe, and other traditional rulers in Oyo State at the Agodi Government House, in the early hours of Friday last week. Ayefele and Ajimobi had agreed to sheath their swords and embrace peace for the good of their beloved state.
Also present at the meeting were, the Information Commissioner, Toye Arulogun; KPMG Senior Partner, Tegbe; the Director, Corporate Affairs Manager of Yinka Ayefele Nigeria Limited, Mr David Ajiboye; anchor of Fresh F.M’s Political Circuit, Mr Isaac Brown, etc.
Outcomes of the meeting include an agreement that Ayefele’s architect is to liaise with officials in the Department of Physical Planning to work out the modalities and the approval plan, while the fence of the building would be moved back by a few meters.
The Governor also expressed willingness to ensure there would be financial compensation to Ayefele, stating that the terms of the compensation would be discussed at a later date.
And Sunday, August 26th was the 90th birthday ceremony of the Olubadan, the royal monarch of Ibadan. It was a gathering of political bigwigs in Oyo state and environs, it was also an opportunity for social reconciliation as Ayefele and Ajimobi, exchanged warm greetings and photo ops together.
It can clearly be said that the Olubadan’s birthday turned out to be a reconciliation arena, as politicians from different political parties, waring society personalities, all loosened their shirts and enjoyed the warmth and peace and celebration of the party. Scores were settled, truces were applied and everyone had fun, whilst celebrating the octogenarian.
What do you think of this truce in Oyo State at the moment?
