“Nigeria Will Export Marijuana” Omoyele Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, Publisher of Sahara Reporters and 2019 presidential aspirant, who has been making very controversial statements of what his government would look like, has made another one.
The youthful aspirant, who had previously said that he would abolish the Senate and turn the House of Representatives into a part time job if elected president, recently said that Nigeria would export marijuana under his watch.
This statement which he said at a media parley on Wednesday 5th September, has been blown out of proportion, as people have taken it to mean that he actually supports the sale of marijuana, an otherwise contraband hard drug in Nigeria.
WakeUpAfrica360 however, wants to clear the air on Mr Sowore’s statement. Sowore said “Nigeria will be exporting weeds to cure cancer. He cited examples of countries that have legalized the planting and sale of marijuana, which is a very potent drug, and has made billions of dollars through its sale and thus grown their GDP. He said that instead of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to waste time and resources chasing and apprehending those who are growing the weed plant, they should instead focus on creating an enabling environment for them to export the product to countries that will use the plants to create medicine, and also make money for the country.
What do you think of Sowore’s idea?
