Sanwo-Olu Wins Lagos APC Primaries

The Lagos APC primaries which held yesterday Tuesday, was almost declared inconclusive, because the National Working Committee distanced itself from the primaries, citing many inconsistencies’.

The primaries of which the incumbent governor Akinwunmi Ambode failed woefully, was later rescheduled to hold today. And so the duo of Ambode and his opponent Sanwo-Olu also quickly mobilized their supporters to be on ground for the re-election.

However late evening yesterday, the APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomole, gave a statement saying that he had prevailed on President Buhari, to allow the primaries election results to be upheld as it reflects the will of the people of the party.

And so baring any last minute changes, the primaries of yesterday will be upheld, and there would be no need for a new primaries to hold today again, as had been earlier planned by the NWC. Below are the election results and the scores of both Ambode and Sanwo-Olu in different zones.

Mushin 1, Ward 2 Ssanwo-Olu-4011, Ambode 5
Ward C2, Alimosho LGA, Sanwo-Olu 10,000, Ambode 29
Ward E2, Egbe Idimu, Sanwo-Olu 5557, Ambode 44
