The Story Of Queen Moremi Ajasoro In Theatres In December

Moremi Musical Drama is going to be 90 mins of dance, drama and music, it tells the story of the legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro, from Ile-Ife  how she risked her life and made the ultimate sacrifice  to end trafficking of her people especially  women and children, it shows the strength of a woman in ancient history over 1200 years ago.
This musical drama concept was created by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, for the House of Oduduwa Foundation, the Foundation of His Imperial Majesty and is being directed and produced by Bolanle Austin Peters Production.
The musical drama is derived from the Queen Moremi Ajasoro initiative, that empowers young women and rehabilitates young victims of human trafficking. It tells the story of Moremi Ajasoro to the world, and how she fought so hard and sacrificed everything she had to save her people many centuries ago, how she stood against enslavement of women and children. The proceeds of this musical drama will go towards assisting young victims of modern day slavery and trafficking.
It also propagates and rejuvenates the cherished values, culture and tradition of an African woman as demonstrated by Queen Moremi, who by unusual courage herself  in order to save her people, who were being tormented by invaders and captured as slaves.
This musical drama will tell the epic story of an iconic Queen, who was the greatest Queen of Ile Ife to date. How confidence was her watchword, how she was a risk taker and her quest for knowledge and how she became a one woman army, for the love of her people.
QUEEN MOREMI AJASORO  elevates the spirit of freedom.
The Musical Drama will be taking place at the Terra Kulture Theater.
From the 21st of December 2018 to the 2nd of January 2019.
