Buhari appoints Modibbo Tukur, as The Director of Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit

President Buhari, has nominated Modibbo Hamman Tukur for the position of Director of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

This was contained in a statement made in Abuja by Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s Special adviser on media and publicity , on monday. According to him the appointment was in accordance with the provision of Section 5(1) of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) Act 2018.

Mr Tukur is from Adamawa State, and a holder of (MSc) in International Business.

Furthermore, he is currently the assistant Director of( NFIU), and is believed to have vast international experience in the area of illegal assets recovery.

Evidence suggests that a lot of eye brows are already been raised over another powerful and important position been assigned to another northerner.

The presidency of PMB have been marred by this unending allegations of bias, discrimination and nepotism. Some argue that almost all the important positions of the current president is been assigned to northerners and Muslims!!
