Three Journalists Shot At APC Lagos Flag Off Campaign Rally

The just concluded APC 2019 campaign rally may have come and gone but not without a lot of misfortunes. The rally which held on Tuesday 8th January, at Skypower Ground in Ikeja GRA, recorded a heavy scuffle between two rival gangs, just as Governor Ambode began making his speech and addressing party supporters.

Apart from the popular MC Oluomo who was stabbed in the neck. Information reaching WakeUpAfrica360 has it that 3 journalists including a camera man were hit by bullets and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

The media men are Abiodun Yusuf, a cameraman with Ibile TV, Emmanuel Oladesu Political editor of the nation newspapers and Tope Ogubanke of New Telegraph. These journalists were caught in the line of fire in the highly violent APC rally which held in Lagos. A stray bullet his Emmanuel, while Tope was hit in the mouth by a pellet.

There is however, no clear information regarding the cameraman with IbileTV. Most journalists have condemned the silence from the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), which has not deemed it fit to produce any statement regarding the violent rally or the journalists affected.

In other news the police has declared gang leader Mustapha Adekunle aka Seigo wanted as he has been identified as the person who stabbed MC Oluomo and also attempted to disrupt the APC rally.
