Update On Dino Melaye’s Arrest, His Children Living In Horrific Conditions

According to the lawmaker representing Bayelsa East constituency, Melaye’s children have been sleeping in the dark because police refused Abuja Electricity Distribution Comapny, AEDC to reconnect their power.

The police had caught off power supply to the senator’s Maitama, Abuja home during an 8-day siege on his residence to get him to surrender, be arrested and face the law – For allegedly attempting to kill a police officer, Saliu Danjuma while on duty alongside his ‘thugs’.

So after @dino_melaye surrendered himself to @PoliceNG, the Police did a thorough search of his house & found nothing. Yet, the police have refused AEDC from reconnecting his power. Currently, Dino’s kids are left to sleep in darkness and under very horrific conditions.

Senator Melaye was arrested to answer to the case of attempted culpable homicide. He is facing interrogation by the police team probing his involvement in the shooting of a policeman by thugs embedded in a convoy of the senator on July 19, 2018, in Kogi state.
