13 Year Old Nigerian To Attend The UN International High Level Conference
13 year old Blessing Ejindu, has been selected to participate in the October 7 International High-level Conference in Vienna Austria. Ejindu was picked by The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes, and is a student of the Battle Axe Academy, Lugbe, Abuja.
Mr Marco Teixera, Senior Programme Officer and UNODC’s Global Programme Coordinator, confirmed this in a statement which was made available to NAN in Abuja, yesterday. He said Eijindu’s entry, “Educating for the Rule of Law, Inspire Change Together” was selected out of nearly 1,200 submissions, because it was a creative piece and had topical clarity.
He also praised Ejindu’s commitment to promote a culture of lawfulness for children and adults, and said that really impressed the UNODC greatly, while he voiced his optimism on how much impact the conference would make on Eijindu’s creativity.
According to Teixera, the event aimed to bring over 200 stakeholders together, as the participants were expected to explore how to build bridges between communities. And also define concrete ways to strengthen the global activities which would shape the values and skills of future generations as positive change agents.
