2023: APC Is Not Aware Of Amaechi, El-Rufai’s Presidential Ambition Says Nabena The Party’s Deputy Spokesman

There has been reaction by the All Progressive Party (APC) to the presidential campaign posters of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai spotted in the country’s capital, Abuja. According to the party, they have not be informed the party about their presidential intentions. This was disclosed by the party’s Deputy Spokesman, Yekini Nabena.

The campaign poster was spotted in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory and has Amaechi as the Presidential aspirant and El-Rufai as his running mate. The message on the poster reads: “The people’s choice. Today may not be the best but tomorrow will be better.”

According to Deputy Spokesman of APC, Nabena, “We will find out those behind the campaign posters. We need to get those things clear because they have never told the party that hey want to run for presidency so I really don’t know. Until they inform the part, then I will know.”

On other news making the rounds at this hour, Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State has disclosed people who took advantaged of the #ENDSARS Protest across the states and also across the country. According to a statement by the Governor, he noted that the peaceful protest was hijacked by anti-democratic forces. He also noted that the organizers of the protest against police brutality and bad governance have good intentions for Nigeria. He made this known while speaking with some media personnel after a meeting of the Northern Governors Forum and Traditional Rulers in Kaduna on Monday.

According to a statement by the Governor during the media time out, “We believe that the End SARS organizers have the best of intentions, but there are people that are pushing their own evil, anti-democratic agenda. We have taken very clear positions on some of these issues, and we also back our road map, looking at various aspects of our lives, including Nigeria’s economic challenges, developmental and the almajiri problems.”
